Pakistan’s right-handed batsman Abid Ali is confident to find his place in the national team for upcoming tours.

“I am confident that hard work will pay off for me and I will get the reward for it,” he said while talking to the media.

Abid said that representing Pakistan is a dream for every player and he wants to wear the green jersey once again. “My focus is on the next assignments. The team will play a test series against Sri Lanka. I will try to prove myself worthy for that series,” Abid said.

The 31-years-old cricketer is working hard on his fitness and his physique shows massive improvement. “Modern-day cricket demands stamina. You have to spend time at the crease to prove yourself. I am working hard on my fitness and I hope it will get better time to time,” Abid highlighted.

The cricketer thanked the National Cricket Academy (NCA)’s coaches for helping him out to get rid of weaknesses. “Obviously coaches help you improve your game. I would also like to thank the medical staff of NCA who is always there to support players while facing an injury,” he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that Abid Ali scored a century on his debut against Australia. He has so far scored 117 runs in three ODIs.
