England bat first as Abid Ali returns in Pakistan colours

England won the toss and decided to bat first in the fifth ODI of the series against Pakistan, which the hosts have already won by 3-0.

Both of the teams have made a couple of changes. Pakistan have rested Imam Ul Haq, who received a fierce blow on his elbow from Mark Wood in the fourth ODI, while Junaid Khan is dropped from the playing XI due to his unimpressive performance in the previous game.

The right-handed opening batsman, Abid Ali has return in Pakistan colours to replace Imam, whereas, Shaheen Shah Afridi is replacing Khan.

On the other hand, England have also made a few changes in their line up, resting the centurion of the fourth ODI, Jason Roy, while David Willey and Chris Woakes make come back in the playing XI.

The series have seen high scoring games, where both the teams have managed to score at least 340 runs in each inning. Pakistan lost the second game by 12 runs while chasing 374, the hosts won the third ODI by six wickets chasing 359, whereas, England also won the fourth encounter by three wickets, chasing 341. The opening match of the series got abandoned due to rain.
