Haris Rauf to play for Melbourne Stars in Big Bash League.

Young Haris Rauf, a talent discovered by Lahore Qalandars through their talent hunt program will now represent Melbourne Stars in the ongoing Big Bash League season 9.

The 24-year-old as an international replacement has replaced Dale Steyn, who has been ruled out due to injury. Stars, led by explosive batsman Glenn Maxwell announced Rauf’s inclusion via twitter.

Haris came in the limelight when he was selected by the Qalandars in the players’ draft for the 2019 Pakistan Super League tournament. He represented Balochistan at the Pakistan Cup 2019 and Northern at the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy tournament. He has claimed 19 wickets in 18 T20s played at a strike-rate of 18.9
