Lahore: Former Supreme Court judge Mr. Justice (retd) Faqir Muhammad Khokhar, in his capacity as an independent adjudicator, will hear Umar Akmal’s appeal against a three-year ban on 11 June, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) disclosed on Friday.
According to the PCB, notices of hearing have been sent to Akmal, who faced a three-year ban for breaching Article 2.4.4 of the PCB Anti-Corruption Code in two separate incidents.
On 27 April, the Chairman of the Disciplinary Panel, Mr. Justice (retd) Fazal-e-Miran Chauhan, had suspended Akmal for three years after finding him guilty of breaching Article 2.4.4.
Later on, Akmal occupied the services Babar Awan law firm and challenged the punishment.
