When he was appointed as 15th Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan Army on 29th November 2013, no one would have thought that this new Sipah Salaar will reshape Pakistan’s modern history with his unbeatable legacy and by winning the War against Terrorism that had plagued the nation for more than a decade.

A true example of ‘He came, He saw & He conquered’.

This Army Chief won the hearts of his nation with his valour, unmatchable bravery & his great personality by being thorough professional soldier & thus the fiinest of Sipah Salaar.

What a great time it was when Operation Zarb-e-Azb was launched on 15th June 2014 and its very name was so unique – Zarb-e-Azb derived from ‘Azb’, the name of the Sword of Holy Prophet (PBUH). I had never heard about it before but when the operation was launched and its objectives were known and then the victories gained by Pakistan Army fighting in the toughest terrains of Waziristan were shown in media and then the Sipah Salaar visiting and raising the morale of his jawaans on front lines in war zones, those headlines and news tickers used to trigger the Jazba and Junoon in our bloods. Such was the level of patriotism that time.

Just for the understanding here is the meaning and objectives of Operation Zarb-e-Azb stated in his Defence Day speech of 2016 and it was so beautiful. The Sipah Salaar said:

We have named this Operation Zarb-e-Azb on the sword of Holy Prophet (SAW) so that our each step in this war of survival should be based on the order of Allah and teachings of Holy Prophet (SAW). This sword is raised only for the defence of innocent and suppressed against mischief on earth (the terrorists).

Raheel Sharif

Zarb-e-Azb made Pakistan invincible. The world had seen, acknowledged and praised the successes and gains of Operation Zarb-e-Azb and so in honour and recognition of his services in this war against terrorism, our Sipa Salaar was awarded with Military medals from five notable countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey, USA & Brazil.

Even after his retirement he was invited to World Economic Forum – Davos where he was given huge respect.

Today he is the proud First Commander-in-Chief of IMCTC (Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition) headquartered in Riyadh – Saudi Arabia. MashaAllah!

Raheel Sharif’s era will be remembered as the era when peace returned in motherland, when Karachi became City of Lights again and had made the records of Independence day sales in billions that was unheard before and when Pakistan’s flag raised and waved from Karachi to Khyber to Waziristan’s bazaars that were once used to be slaughter point for terrorists where they chopped off soldiers’ heads and played with them as footballs. (Astaghfirullah).

History was also made when Gawadar went operational in November 2016 with the shipment of its first Cargo through CPEC, another land mark achievement of his era.

This hero known as General Raheel Sharif, the most popular Army Chief of Pakistan and a man of great character, courage and competence.

His these 3Cs every youth should follow in order to become strong, brave and competent in their lives. June 16th is marked as the Birthday of this great legend.

He turned 64 today. MashaAllah!

Let’s pray for long, happy and healthy life of this Hero with great successes and protection from any odds, enemies and their evil propagandas. Ameen!
