Kashif Bhatti tests positive for COVID-19 on England tour

Karachi: Left-arm spinner Kashif Bhatti, who is part of Pakistan’s squad on England tour, has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in self-isolation in Derbyshire.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have asked for an update from the English and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) as the matter now falls under the jurisdiction of the England Board.

Kashif along with Haider Ali and Imran Khan traveled to England on July 8, after they were tested negative for COVID-19 twice.

On the other hand, pacer Haris Rauf has tested negative for COVID-19 in his first Test, He will be capable of traveling to England if he tests negative in his second. Haris is currently under the supervision of the PCB’s Medical Panel at a local hotel in Lahore.

It must be noted that Pakistan is currently training in Derbyshire County Ground ahead of the first Test against England in Manchester.
